Underwater Production
Get
Wet…Stay Wet. That’s a way of life here at
Spring Street Studios. Jerry Pentin was the Director of Photography
for the television series “Destination Diving” and
shot around the world in places and climates like the South
Pacific and the Arctic. Jerry has been diving since 1973 and
is a Master Diver. He is also a tech diver having been certified
in Nitrox diving and is Rebreather certified as well. We currently
shoot with our Amphibico VX1000 Housing using the Sony VX-1000
DVCam camera merged with the Light and Motion HID Light Package.
We
also offer the Amphibico 100 degree Aspheric Lense to give that
“big water” look…you have to see it to believe
it. Our latest acquisition is the Sony HVR-Z1 HDV Camera along
with Amphibico’s Phenom FXZ1 Digital Marine Housing…it
also incorporated the Aspheric lens technology…another
“gotta see it to believe it!”
Spring Street Studios has shot for many different
productions such as:
Gold
Medal Productions "Swimfast" Series for USA Swimming.
Jerry spent time in the pool with the likes of Olympians Michael
Phelps, Edwin Moses and Lindsey Benko. Just prior to last year's
Olympics, we were in the water with the US Olympic team as they
gathered for the first time as a team at Stanford University.
We provided underwater footage for the coaching staffs and provided
some shots of Michael Phelps which was used for an ESPN Special
on Olympians.
Bart Cox Productions
Aqua Therapy for Arthritis, Parkinson's Disease, Cerebral
Palsy and Disabled/Handicapped swimmers.
Dive In Depth, Inc
"Destination Diving Television Series."
We shot around the world in places like: The Mariana Islands,
The Philippines, Fiji, Panama, Bahamas', Grand Cayman, Cayman
Brac, The
Coast of California - Monterey Bay, The Channel Islands, Lake
Tahoe for high altitude diving and the Colorado River for the
most extreme experience. Catalina, Texas…yeah, Texas…actually
the Gulf of Mexico - The Flower Gardens and Stetson Bank …",
Bermuda, St Kitt's/Nevas and of course, Hawaii. Last but not
least, our trip to the top of the world was amazing as Producer/Director
Stefan Schulz and Jerry went to Norway, then the Swalbard Archipelago
and on to the Arctic Circle. It was trip of a lifetime and one
of the most demanding.
Sharks
and Wrecks. As part of the "Destination Diving Television
Series" Jerry also had the opportunity to dive with sharks,
both in "chain mail" and without in the Bahamas and Fiji. He
also experienced many wreck dives in places like Coron Bay,
Philippines where he dived on 11 WWII wrecks, a German Luftwaht
Bomber in a Norwegian fjord in Norway, and numerous wrecks in
the Marianas and the Bahamas.
Many top Fortune
500 firms have also utilized our underwater talents.
People Soft for their "King of the World" production and Cadence
for their annual sales meeting at Aviara in La Costa to provide
an underwater theme for their annuals awards presentations…all
awards were made via video underwater (the introductions) prior
to the recipients receiving their awards on stage. Cadence also
used underwater footage to introduce the next year's sales meeting
site.
